VINCENZO DE LEON
Biography
Vince is a multi-instrumental musician from Penang, Malaysia. His experience began at age 2 when his father taught him to play the piano.

A frequent contributor to the music scene, Vince has performed with the Penang Philharmonic Orchestra, Nothern Jazz Ensemble, and the Musica Sinfonietta for which he has also written music. He also performed with his family-run band the De Leon Jazz Experience with his father and brother.

In 2016, he was accepted into Berklee College of Music with a full scholarship, where he graduated summa cum laude with a dual major in Film Scoring and Electronic Production & Design. There, he co-founded the Berklee Malaysian Association, and directed the college’s pioneering concert celebrating Malaysian music, Berklee Budaya.

Vince’s signature can be clearly recognised when a piece of music combines Baroque, Breakbeat, and Black Metal elements. Inspired by the richness of counterpoint, composers like Shostakovich, video game music, as well as modern acts of all genres from Taylor Swift to Igorrr to Official HIGE DANdism, there is no boundary of genre that will keep Vince from exploring the vast possibilities of the sonic landscape.

Vince is officially endorsed by Skytone Saxophones from Taiwan.
